Privacy Policy

Some general information
Watching You Grow is run by Fiona Peacock. Your privacy is important to me and I updated this privacy policy to incorporate the new GDPR rules in May 2018. Here is some information about the information I store and why:

I will never sell your data to a third data.

Your data may be shared in the following circumstances:

  • to service providers and affiliates - for example, Google Analytics holds information such as your IP address and the pages you visited on my site so that I can see which posts are the most and least popular. I may sometimes include affiliate links in my posts, this means I receive a small amount if you click on the link and purchase an item (this doesn't cost you any extra).
  • if I am required to by law

You are legally entitled to request a copy of the data I hold about you. Feel free to request a copy or, alternatively, you have the right to be forgotten and can ask me to delete any information I hold about you.

Site Users
Information such as your location and IP address may be collected for my site analytics. This information tells me information, like how many people have visited each webpage and for how long.

Mailing List
If you signed up to my mailing list (hi Mum!), your name and email address will have been collected. I will not do anything with this information other than sending you new posts on this blog. I will keep you on the mailing list until you tell me not to. You can email me at hello@watchingyougrow.co.uk and ask to be removed, or you can simply hit the subscribe button on your next email from my site.

How long do I keep your information?
I am required by UK law to keep your basic personal information (such as name, address and email address) for at least 6 years.

If you believe the information I hold is incorrect
If you think the information I hold on you is incorrect, or if you would like me to delete it, please get in touch with me and I will investigate. You can contact me on hello@watchingyougrow.co.uk

Cookies policy
We should all eat many cookies. Just kidding, that's not my official policy. This website uses cookies (small files that are placed on your machine to improve your web browsing experience) which retain user preferences and allow your browsing to be tracked by third parties such as Google Analytics. If you would like to turn off cookies, you can do this in your browser.

Adverts
Third parties advertise on this website and those parties may use cookies to personalise your browsing experience and to measure the success of their adverts.

This privacy policy is effective as of May 2018 and has been produced in compliance with UK law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I may change my privacy policy in the future, but the updated version of the policy will always be found on this page.
